How to Make 🌮
In a large mixing bowl, mix together the masa harina, warm water, and a pinch of Balinese Truffle Salt. Use your hands to mix and knead until well incorporated and glossy. Set aside and allow to rest for about 10 minutes. This is the tortilla dough!
Once the dough is made, heat up a saute pan or cast iron pan over medium low heat.
Form the dough into little balls and then follow along with Chef Jason on how to form your tortillas!
Once the tortillas are formed, cook them by placing one side down in the hot saute pan and let them brown. Once browned on one side, flip them and brown them on the other side.
Transfer the cooked tortillas to a plate and cover them with a clean kitchen towel. Keep cooking more tortillas!
Once the tortillas are cooked, it’s time to cook the meat.
Heat the pan over medium high heat and add the oil.
Place the meat into the saute pan and season with taco seasoning. Cook the meat, stirring occasionally, for 6-8 minutes or until the meat is cooked through and broken up.
Taste a piece of the meat and adjust the seasoning.
Now it’s time to make your taco tower with as many toppings as you’d like!!!!!
